Funding your Sessions

Cost shouldn't be the thing that stops you getting support. Here are some funding options that may help cover your sessions.

ACC (coming soon)
$0.00

I'm currently in the process of registering as an ACC provider. Once that's complete, this section will be updated with information about how ACC funding may be able to help with the cost of sessions. In the meantime, you can find out more about what ACC covers on their website.

Gumboot Friday
$0.00

Gumboot Friday funds free counselling for young people aged 25 and under anywhere in Aotearoa. It covers an initial two free sessions, and your counsellor can request more if needed. I'm a registered practitioner on the Gumboot Friday platform, so you can find me there, choose me as your counsellor and book your sessions. Gumboot Friday pays for them directly. It's designed for mild to moderate distress and isn't an emergency service.

Work and Income (WINZ)
$0.00

A weekly payment from Work and Income to help with regular, ongoing costs caused by a disability or health condition, including Mental health. You don't need to be on a benefit to apply, but it is income-tested. Your doctor completes a Disability Certificate listing the costs, and Work and Income can only help with the costs on that certificate. You can apply online, by phone or in person.
